When we first arrived in Exeter, we had no idea what to expect from the nightlife and, more importantly, what to wear. Luckily for you, critiquing different venues throughout the week, here’s our style guide for where you’ll most likely to be all heading for your first student night out on Saturday: the Lemmy.

Nothing too expensive. Stick on something simple.

Ah, the Lemmy: everyone’s favourite student bar, where the floors are sticky and, as the clock strikes 12, every guy seems to turn into a mad, sex-deprived animal.

Everyone keeps their style casual for the Lemmy and girls go for the Oh this? I just chucked it on last minute before we left look – usually with high-waisted shorts or jeans and a t-shirt.

Word of advice: don’t wear anything you really love; you can guarantee someone will spill something down you. It happens almost hourly.

Pumps and heels are a massive no no. The floor’s so sticky it’s quite likely they’ll get stuck to it, and you’ll be walking home bare foot. Hi tops and trainers: the way to go.

Whilst inside the Lemmy, prepare to get a little bit hot and sweaty.
