There’s loads to do this week around Durham – once again we’ve brought you the places to be seen


Fashion Show Carnage

There are fashion shows aplenty this week with Castle and Collingwood on Friday and Grey on Saturday. You can have a whole weekend of looking at beautiful people. Tickets still available for all three, so if you’re not doing anything head down and help raise money for charity.

The Champagne Society Great Hall Event

The Champagne Society Great Hall event is this Saturday in Castle; there’ll be bubbly, a string quartet and a DJ. Tickets are £45 and they admit two, so head along if you want an event that oozes class.

Lumley Run

The Lumley Run takes place tomorrow evening with participants running from Lumley Castle to Durham Castle. 15 runners, 7 and a half miles, 23 pubs – enough said.

FemSocXCuthsRugby

FemSoc and Cuth’s Rugby Club (yes, really) are co-hosting a panel discussion entitled ‘Is there a relationship between Lad Culture and sexual violence?’. Panellists include Hannah Lowther, student president of Team Durham and Professor of Criminology at Durham, Nicole Westmarland.

Shake Durham

Durham’s foremost RnB and Hip Hop night, you will literally lose a stone because you’ll be dancing so much. Need we say more?

Gigiti Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of their new website Gigiti have teamed up with Cream and Studio to bring you live music and DJs. If you get on the guest-list you’ll even be in with a chance of winning tickets to Bombay Bicycle Club and a free guitar.
