Extinction Rebellion dumps Trinity College soil in Barclays bank
Now that’s what they call a dirty protest!
Earlier today the environmentalist action group Extinction Rebellion occupied the lawn at the front of Trinity College and dug it up.
The dirt and grass was transferred into wheelbarrows and dumped in the foyer of Barclays bank, St Andrew's Street.
The activists then lay down in the dirt in a 'die-in' protest.

The action was taken in protest against "destruction of nature" at a Trinity-owned farm; the potential development of a lorry park, which was turned down by planning officials.
The bank remains open for customers, and a spokesperson said: "We're staying open and colleagues will try and manage it as best they can."
Extinction Rebellion and Barclays have been contacted for comment.
