BREAKING: Cambridge University offers and revokes Jordan Peterson a visiting fellowship
The university has rescinded the offer after review
Jordan Peterson announced yesterday in a YouTube video that he would be joining the Divinity Faculty for two months in October as a visiting fellow. Peterson makes the claim in the video below at 6:20.
Peterson is a widely controversial figure, rising to prominence following his interview on Channel 4 with Cathy Newman in which he attacks feminism and modern "PC" culture.
The university has released a statement on the matter, confirming that an offer was made to Peterson but has now been rescinded.
The Divinity Faculty have also made a statement confirming that an offer was made to Peterson, but has been rescinded following review.
The offer has sparked criticism from academics and students alike online.
