Kings Affair headlining act REVEALED

Get excited for the edgiest party in May Week

There will be a whole host of acts to entertain you throughout the evening, ensuring that you'll be revelling through the Music of the Spheres. Read on to find out what they've got lined up.

Make Me

The London club scene heavyweights Make Me will be hosting the Bunker! Their parties in London have graced iconic venues such as Corsica Studios for a decade, playing host to the likes of Ben UFO,Objekt, Steffi, Helena Hauff and many many more. As you can see from the dance music luminaries they’ve booked, Rupes, Rubin, Nic and Kit have an amazing, eclectic music taste which will undoubtedly shine through in our very own sweaty techno hellhole.

Pangaea

The Make Me guys will be hosting Pangaea, Hessle Audio’s certified techno don. His unique blend of the sounds of the English underground will be colliding into one filthy cocktail in Bunker with a sound as massive as the primordial landmass from which he takes his name. He has been on a roll this year with banging releases such as ‘Bone Sucka’ that have lit up dancefloors around the world. As one of the leading figures in UK underground music, we are certain he will affect the structural integrity of the Keynes building.

Mr Scruff – HEADLINER

The man holding centre stage at King’s Affair this year. World-renowned for his Sisyphean length sets spanning music from all over the boogie-woogie scene from hip hop hooray to disco infernos, he’ll be squeezing out a 3 hour set of good vibrations over the night. Those of you who have sipped tea while skanking at Mr Scruff’s residencies at Band on the Wall in Manchester or elsewhere know that he will not disappoint. Supported by his main man Jigsaw and a special guest MC, a former resident at the iconic Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh, we’re certain the two will 100% get you shaking what your mumma gave you.

TootArd

Having gained considerable critical and popular acclaim for their 2017 album Laissez Passer we are honoured to be welcoming these trailblazing stateless Syrians from the Golan Heights. They have brought their Arab reggae rock dance hybrids to Europe to enthralled crowds. We know from personal experience that their rocking of the saxophone and desert rock guitar has the power to get the party going – and is highly likely to teach you an Arabic phrase or two.

Sweet Female Attitude

Garage legend Sweet Female Attitude rounds up the night on the main stage. Her infectious brand of feel good garage has won her numerous hits you may have bluetoothed in the early 00’s, most notably Flowers, which she will be performing live as part of her MC + DJ set. What better way to celebrate Music of the Spheres than embracing the sweet heavenly sounds of the United Kingdom’s fines export: that garage sound. If you’ve still got the energy, you’ll be powering through the classics from Artful Dodger, MC Neat and So Solid Crew till the morning at this year’s King’s Affair.

See you there on the 20th June.
