Exam term is a bitch for the noggin.

Day after day, we subject our brains to hours of memorising, expecting our minds to soak up all that we’ve read and heard over the course of an entire academic year. Then we ask that our brains ooze out their intelli-juice all over a tripos paper, in an ordered sequence of symbols.

Nonetheless, there are many ways to increase one’s absorption capacities. Much hoo-hah has been made – by yours truly no less – of so called ‘brain foods’, which turn minds into Jstors well-stocked with first-snatching truths. But the best way to secure exam success is to simply distill your revision notes onto one page, then eat it.

Care must be taken to ensure your notes are seasoned – even the highest-quality lined paper can be tasteless without oregano – and, as demonstrated, you can even combine your revision notes with recipes you know and love.

Here are some suggestions.

1. Revision notes fry up

1 piece of bacon

1 page of revision notes

Place a rasher of smoked bacon in a frying pan and fry till crispy. Add the revision notes and fry for another minute or so. Serve with ketchup.

2. Revision notes sandwich

2 slices of white bread

1 page of revision notes

Simply tear the revision page into four pieces, slot in between two slices of bread, and consume.

3. Revision Notes Salad

1 round lettuce

1 page of revision notes

1 bunch of coriander

Ensure all the right information is on the paper, then tear it up into small pieces. Combine with finely chopped coriander and lettuce. Consume.
