Stephen Hawking does Go Compare

Professor Stephen Hawking has shown his sense of humour by agreeing to appear in an advert which sees him suck the Go Compare man into a black hole.

The website has run a series of adverts recently showing celebrities conspiring to get rid of opera singer Gio Compario. He follows in the footsteps of stars from dancer Louie Spence to wilderness guru and foliage fanatic Ray Mears.

The advert was released today and shows Professor Hawking, the former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the university, telling a busy lecture theatre that he has discovered how to create a supermassive black hole.

When asked what he’ll do with the knowledge, the scene cuts to Gio. He serenades an irate couple in the street until a black hole forms and sucks him away.

Professor Hawking is then shown laughing in his famous computerised voice.

Commenting on his special performance, the 2011 Nuts Bloke of The Year said, “I confess I am a fan of the gocompare.com adverts, but I am also an opera fan, so I was delighted to be given the opportunity to help save the nation and silence Gio.”

He adds, “I hope the public find it as funny as I did.”
