October sees the launch of the new Chanel Coco Cocoon bag collection in which Lily Allen convincingly channels Audrey Hepburn while providing a fresh and fun take on classic Chanel style.
The collection consists mainly of large totes with oversized leather handles. The reversiblility of some of the bags allows you to get double value out of a single handbag. However, I can't help but feel that the items do not live up to the campaign. The large oversized handbags seem passe this season, and the designs overall are disappointing and unwieldy compared to the usual elegance of Chanel bags we have come to expect. It seems we will just have to enjoy the adverts!
