Some of Birmingham’s much loved eateries have signed up to the new food app, which includes names such as Yakinori, Leon, Yorks Bakery Café and Rub Smokehouse. Not only can you get amazing food delivered but also wine, courtesy of Connolly’s.
The app is similar to the taxi service, you will see the name of the food courier and get to see it’s location on your mobile screen or tablet. There is no minimum order value, but you will have to pay £2.50 delivery charge. The service will deliver to Birmingham City Centre and areas surrounding including Aston, Selly Oak and Edgbaston.
Mathieu Proust, general manager at UberEATS, said: “We’re really excited to be launching UberEATS in our third city, Birmingham.
“We have been blown away with the quality of the food in the city. We aim to offer food delivered faster and more efficiently than anyone else. There is also no minimum order value, so there is no need to order more that you need. If you just fancy a snack or treat, it’s no problem.”
Yorks Bakery Café is one of the 80-plus independents that have signed up to UberEATS. The cafe was named as one of the best places to brunch by The Sunday Times in 2015 and opens a new cafe at Ikon Gallery next week.
Simon Ford, managing director at Yorks Bakery Café, said: “ A partnership with UberEATS is an exciting opportunity to get the our pizzas into the homes and offices of our customers all over Birmingham.”
