The app is similar to the taxi service, you will see the name of the food courier and get to see it’s location on your mobile screen or tablet. Mathieu Proust, general manager at UberEATS, said: “We’re really excited to be launching UberEATS in our third city, Birmingham.
“We have been blown away with the quality of the food in the city. We aim to offer food delivered faster and more efficiently than anyone else. There is also no minimum order value, so there is no need to order more that you need. If you just fancy a snack or treat, it’s no problem.”
Yorks Bakery Café is one of the 80-plus independents that have signed up to UberEATS. The cafe was named as one of the best places to brunch by The Sunday Times in 2015 and opens a new cafe at Ikon Gallery next week.
Simon Ford, managing director at Yorks Bakery Café, said: “ A partnership with UberEATS is an exciting opportunity to get the our pizzas into the homes and offices of our customers all over Birmingham.”
