It’s official, Speakeasy has the cheapest pints in Belfast

Too bad it’s Tennent’s

After much deliberation and drinking – sorry – research, it has been determined that the cheapest pint in Belfast belongs to Queen’s very own Speakeasy in the SU.

The SU, a prime haunt for anyone not wanting to go to their afternoon lectures, has beaten off stiff competition from Wetherspoon’s to be crowned with the coveted award for their low priced pint of Tennent’s.

They’re so happy

The best value for pints can be found on a Friday where three beers are a fiver, which makes it a class £1.66 each. A much superior beer, Gladeye IPA also comes in at a reasonable £3 for any big spenders that enjoy the finer things in life.

In comparison, pints are £3.30 in The Parlour and Carling is £3.40 in The Hatfield.

Animation first year Oisin Cash said: “It’s a great win for the SU. I mean I will literally never buy a pint of it because Tennent’s is fucking disgusting but sure, good news anyway.”

Software Engineering fresher Ronan Morris struggled to contain his excitement and said: “Well I’m glad I guess.”
