Barbie, Oppenheimer and Poor Things: Here are all the 2024 Oscar nominations

Get your glam squads at the ready

The 2024 Oscar nominations are here, and they are piping hot from The Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences, who are gearing up for the biggest night in Hollywood. The ceremony is taking place on March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in LA, with Jimmy Kimmel expected to lead proceedings as the host. The cast and crew of films such as Oppenheimer, Poor Things, and Killers of the Flower Moon should be getting the most dolled up as they are vying for the most of those gold statutes. Those three films boast 13, 11, and 10 nods each. These include, but are not limited to, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Picture.

A special mention for Killers of the Flower Moon, which made cinematic history as Lily Gladstone became the first-ever Native American Best Actress nominee.

Trailing behind in the nominations tally is the highest-grossing (and most pink) film of 2023, Barbie, which got eight nominations. Despite speculation, the film’s lead, Margot Robbie, was not put up in the Best Actress category but is recognised in production. The film’s director, Greta Gerwig, was not put up in the Best Director category either.
