Here are all the stunning transformations of the Freaky Friday cast 20 years on

It’s somehow been 20 years since Freaky Friday released which is slightly alarming, and the cast have all had stunning transformations! All of them seem to have either glowed up or just not aged and have gone on to star in big-budget films and trending Netflix shows.

So let’s go through each of the Freaky Friday cast transformations and see what they’ve been up to!

Anna – Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay is genuinely glowing, and being engaged and pregnant with her first child she has every right to be!

After Freaky Friday, she starred in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls, which cemented her status as an early noughties icon. She also went on to movies like Just My Luck and Georgia Rule.

From 2007 to 2012, Lindsay publicly struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, entering rehab at five different facilities. She also dealt with a series of run-ins with the law, including charges of driving under the influence and cocaine possession.

In 2019 she starred on MTV’s Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, documenting the launch of her beach club in Greece, and released a music single in 2020 called Back to Me. Since then she’s been living in the UAE for six years and has most recently appeared in Netflix’s Falling for Christmas.

Tess – Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis genuinely has aged so beautifully. She’s giving vibey grandma and I’m here for it. Since appearing in Freaky Friday she’s starred in Christmas With the Kranks, additional Halloween sequels, Knives Out, and Everything Everywhere All at Once.

She’s also appeared on TV shows like Scream Queens, New Girl and NCIS alongside fellow Freaky Friday alumni Mark Harmon. Most recently, she appeared in season two of The Bear and starred in The Haunted Mansion with Owen Wilson.

Jake – Chad Michael Murray

This man can do no wrong in my eyes. He is still flawlessly rocking a leather jacket and braided necklace. Since appearing as lovestruck teen Jake in Freaky Friday, Chad Michael Murray has three children with his wife Sarah. His role in the early 2000s was as a full-time lothario, having appeared in Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill.

He also starred alongside Hillary Duff in A Cinderella Story and most recently was even on Riverdale.

Maddie – Christina Vidal

Again, I swear there was something in this film that meant everybody from Freaky Friday looks absolutely gorgeous 20 years later. Since the film Christina hasn’t appeared in much, having a recurring role in Code Black and Training Day.

More recently, Vidal appeared on Amazon Prime’s The Terminal List.

Stacey – Julie Gonzalo

Freaky Friday was one of Julie’s first roles, and since then she still looks just as gorgeous.

Julie also starred in major films like Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Christmas With the Kranks, and Must Love Dogs.

She also joined the cast of several series, including Veronica Mars, with her latest roles being on CW’s Supergirl.

Ryan – Mark Harmon

Mark still is a silver fox through and through. He started on NCIS the same year Freaky Friday was released and is still on it now. In between seasons, he starred in iconic films like Chasing Liberty and Weather Girl. He also voiced his “NCIS” character on Family Guy.

Pei Pei’s mum – Lucille Soong

This woman has legitimately not aged I swear.

After Freaky Friday, Soong appeared on ABC’s Desperate Housewives and Fresh Off the Boat, as well as having a role on Disney’s Sky High, most recently doing voice work for Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon.

Pei Pei – Rosalind Chao

Another cast member, another person who has aged insanely well.

Rosalind joined the series The OC and Don’t Trust the B*tch in Apartment 23 after starring in Freaky Friday. She has appeared on more network shows like Hawaii Five-O, Black-ish, and This Is Us.

She also starred in Disney’s 2020 Mulan remake, and more recently, she worked on Netflix’s Sweet Tooth.

Mr Bates – Stephen Tobolowsky

Stephen played Mr Bates, Anna’s high school teacher.

He has gone on to have many roles after the film’s release, notably on CSI: Miami, Glee, and Californication.

Some of his latest credits include One Day at a Time and The Goldbergs He also acted in Haul Out the Holly and Love Virtually.
