‘I hope this sensitive soul is at rest’: Euphoria stars pay tribute to Angus Cloud

Euphoria stars have paid tribute to Angus Cloud following the news of his death. The actor, who played Fez on the show, died on Monday at his family home in California.

His co-stars have been sharing statements since the news broke last night, posting photos of them with Angus prior to his death. His onscreen brother, Javon Walton, led the tributes online.

Javon Walton

Euphoria actor Javon Walton paid tribute to his late co-star and on-screen brother, Angus Cloud, on Monday after Cloud’s family confirmed his death.

Javon played Angus Cloud’s onscreen brother on Euphoria, Ashtray. In an Instagram post and story, Javon wrote: “Forever family” and “Rest easy brother”.

Lukas Gage

Lukas Gage paid tribute to Angus Cloud via Instagram under Cloud’s most recent Instagram post. In a comment, he wrote: “Rest easy Angus”.

Storm Reid stars as Gia in Euphoria and she posted a heartbreaking post about Angus on her Instagram story following the news. With a photo of Angus as his character Fez, she wrote: “The tears just won’t stop.”

Colman Domingo stars as Ali on Euphoria and posted a touching tribute to Angus on his Instagram. Posting a photo of him, Angus Cloud and Jacob Elordi to his Instagram story, Colman then wrote: “Couldn’t be more real, original and sweet. Loved this kid. Always smiles.

“I hope this sensitive soul is at rest. Check on loved ones. Check on them.”

Sam Levinson

Euphoria’s creator, Sam Levinson, paid tribute to Angus Cloud in a statement. It read: “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon.

“He struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”

Zendaya

Zendaya plays main character Rue in Euphoria and over the two seasons has a number of scenes with Fez, including several heartbreaking ones.

She posted a tribute to the late actor on her Instagram,  and reminded her followers that “grief looks different for everyone”.

“Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor),” she began. “I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh. (I’m smiling now just thinking of it).

“I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love. ‘They could light up any room they entered’. But boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.”

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney posted a heartfelt tribute to Angus on her Instagram following the news of his death. It read: “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart and you filled every room with laughter. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post, and I’m struggling to find all the words.

“You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you this lifetime and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real and I wish we could’ve had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you.”

Barbie Ferreira

Barbie Ferreira later posted a tribute to Angus on her Instagram, and wrote: “I love you so much. You will be missed tremendously.”

Euphoria and HBO

HBO and Euphoria released a joint statement following the news of Angus Cloud’s death.

“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” the statement read. “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
