Euphoria stars have paid tribute to Angus Cloud following the news of his death. The actor, who played Fez on the show, died on Monday at his family home in California.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” said a statement from Angus Cloud’s family.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” the statement read.

“We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

His co-stars have been sharing statements since the news broke last night, posting photos of them with Angus prior to his death. His onscreen brother, Javon Walton, led the tributes online.

Javon Walton

Euphoria actor Javon Walton paid tribute to his late co-star and on-screen brother, Angus Cloud, on Monday after Cloud’s family confirmed his death.

Javon played Angus Cloud’s onscreen brother on Euphoria, Ashtray. In an Instagram post and story, Javon wrote: “Forever family” and “Rest easy brother”.

While Alexa Demie, who stars as Maddy in Euphoria, hasn’t released a statement about the tragic news, she simply posted a heartbreak emoji to her story after the news broke. Alexa doesn’t often share things to her Instagram and is fairly inactive on social media.

Euphoria’s creator, Sam Levinson, paid tribute to Angus Cloud in a statement. It read: “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon.

“He struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”

Zendaya

Zendaya plays main character Rue in Euphoria and over the two seasons has a number of scenes with Fez, including several heartbreaking ones.

She posted a tribute to the late actor on her Instagram, and reminded her followers that “grief looks different for everyone”.

“Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor),” she began. “I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh. (I’m smiling now just thinking of it).

“I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love. ‘They could light up any room they entered’. But boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.”

Sydney Sweeney posted a heartfelt tribute to Angus on her Instagram following the news of his death. It read: “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart and you filled every room with laughter. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post, and I’m struggling to find all the words.

HBO and Euphoria released a joint statement following the news of Angus Cloud’s death.

“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” the statement read. “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
