Cameron says he wishes his ‘fun and cheeky side’ was shown on MAFS Australia
‘They made out I was as plain as a stick’
Former Married at First Sight Australia groom Cameron Woods says while he doesn’t regret going on the show, he does wish it showcased his “personality” and “cheeky side”.
Cameron was matched with Lyndall on the series and despite making it to the final vows, they eventually went their separate ways. Cameron has since said Lyndall was not the right person for him.
During an Instagram Q&A, Cameron was asked if he regrets going on MAFS Australia. “I don’t regret going on MAFS,” he responded.
“I learnt a lot about myself and other people. But I think the biggest thing that stirred me up watching it back was that it didn’t really showcase my fun side, my personality, my smart ass side. I suppose that was probably the biggest thing for me they kind of made out that I was as plain as a stick. Which I’m not, but I can be.”
During the show, Cameron found it difficult to be affectionate with Lyndall which caused a lot of arguments between the pair. Camero and Lyndall didn’t leave the show on the best of terms and it only went downhill further during the reunion episode when it was revealed he had shown his penis to another bride on the show.
Cameron was caught up in a sexting scandal with Tayla and it was aired out during the reunion. It began when he exposed his penis to her over FaceTime while he was on a night out with his friends, something both Cam and Tayla admitted to during the reunion.

At the time it played out, a source told Daily Mail Australia: “Cam FaceTimed her while at a nightclub and showed her his d**k. Tayla laughed off the incident, but she was impressed.”
When he was confronted about it during the MAFS Australia dinner party, Cameron said: “After final vows I went back home and was having a bit of friendly banter with Tayla. It was just back and forth text. It was nothing serious. It was just a friendly chat.”
Tayla added her two cents to the situation and it worsened the whole situation. “It really kind of goes as far as we’re friends. I saw his c**k,” she told a stunned dinner party. That moment will go down in history.
