Weddings and makeovers: Lizzie Sobinoff has been living her best life since MAFS Australia

Elizabeth Sobinoff appeared on Married at First Sight Australia season six and appeared again the following year and did manage to find love, although they later broke up. Since her stints on the show, Lizzie has moved on and has been happier than ever with her new partner and life.

From truly jaw-dropping transformations to meeting the love of her life, here is everything Lizzie Sobinoff has been up to since she was on MAFS Australia seasons six and seven.

Lizzie is married!

Lizzie got married in January 2023. The couple exchanged their vows at a beachside location in Sydney and Lizzie had two different outfits across the day and stunned in both of them. Lizzie and her husband, Alexander, announced their engagement last year.

She revealed the news on Instagram, with a picture of her and Alexander. “Engaged to the love of my life. My everything. I’m so unbelievably happy,” she wrote.

Lizzie originally kept Alexander’s identity a secret before posting a photo of him in Easter last year. “As a whole, I’m incredibly private,” she explained.

“I did reality TV a lifetime ago. I’m so protective over my partner and there are so many negative, gossiping people out there, that go out of their way to talk trash. I have never felt a love like this so hopefully people can see why I have been so protective.”

She has a completely different look

Lizzie ditched her blonde hair a while ago now and has had a major makeup change. She no longer wears eccentric makeup and jewellery, something a lot of viewers associated her with on the show.

Lizzie has addressed the change in her appearance and described herself as a “chameleon”. “I am a chameleon guys,” she said on Instagram.

“I’m a self-confessed chameleon – and what that means to me is I always change up my look. I like to have fun, experiment with that I’m feeling at that exact moment.”

She added: “I loved the way that I looked on my first season… very vivacious, powerful and I loved the over the top makeup.”

Lizzie is mum to the cutest cats

The former MAFS Australia bride has the cutest cats you will ever see. Lizzie occasionally shares photos of her pets on her Instagram and recently shared a carousel of pictures of them and wrote: “Silly boys”, followed by a heart emoji.

She underwent a major surgery in 2022

Last year, former MAFS bride Lizzie Sobinoff had to undergo surgery to get some “underlying health issues sorted”, after she was misdiagnosed for over 10 years.

She announced to her Instagram followers she had now been diagnosed with “endometriosis, ovarian cysts and bowel adhesions” after months of not knowing what was wrong.

In an Instagram post, Lizzie wrote: “Endometriosis, ovarian cysts and bowel adhesions. I had surgery this week. Some people closest to me knew I was trying to get some underlying health issues sorted.

“I started trying to figure it all out last year after delaying it for quite a while due to my fear of doctors.”

She then thanked her friends and family to “pointed her in the right direction”. “Thankful for my beautiful parents, my beautiful partner and the girls who let me me openly talk about this and gave me comfort,” she added.
