Here’s how to become a playtester for the new game Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
Fifa for nerds
When Hogwarts Legacy finally came out this year, there was one major part of the Wizarding World that felt absent – quidditch. The Wizarding World’s sport is a huge part of the Potter franchise and features so prominently that not being able to play it felt a bit weird. This week, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has been announced – a full game dedicated to the sport and its absence from Hogwarts Legacy suddenly made sense. The game’s in early development, but it’s been announced that fans can sign up to be a playtester for the game and become one of the first to hop on a broom – here’s how to sign up to be a playtester for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
It’s coming sooner than you think
According to the official FAQ released with the announcement, the game is going to start playtesting in the ‘not so distant future’. To sign up to be a playtester for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, go to the official website here. Once you’re on it, you’ve got to verify your age and share some details about what platform you game on and the kind of games you like to play.
That’s it really. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be a multiplayer affair on all platforms – stay tuned to see what news and visuals come out in the coming months.
Hogwarts Legacy has been controversial and has garnered criticism throughout its development due to transphobic remarks from franchise creator JK Rowling made since 2020. Avalanche, the developers of the game, have said she is not involved at all – but it is likely since she owns the IP rights to the franchise that she will profit from the sales.
