Love Island besties Lucie and Maura’s friendship reportedly ended after a girls’ holiday

It all came tumbling down when Maura unfollowed Lucie out of the blue

Love Island stars Lucie Donlan and Maura Higgins are no longer friends following a boujie holiday together to the Maldives.

People began to assume the pair had fallen out after Maura unfollowed Lucie on Instagram, reportedly blindsiding the former Islander.

The Sun reported since their trip in December 2021, the friends have seen each other “less and less” and their friendship has since come to an end. They have approached Lucie and Maura’s representatives for comment.

“Lucie and Maura just drifted apart,” a source claimed. “It was fun when they were both single and going on holidays together but Lucie’s settling down in Cornwall with her fiance and Maura lives in London.”

The insider continued: “When Maura unfollowed Lucie though, it was a bit of a shock. Clearly they weren’t as close as Lucie thought they were, as it was a bit of a harsh move and ended the friendship on a bit of a sour note.”

Lucie and Maura grew close during their time on Love Island in 2019 and remained friends after the villa. Lucie even modelled in Maura’s Ann Summers swimsuit collection and even said Maura was her “best friend” who supported her “through everything” in the villa.

The pair were in the Love Island villa with the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Amy Hart and Amber Gill, who went on to win the show alongside Greg O’Shea.
