Ekin-Su is said to be suing Oh Polly after being dropped by the brand in £1million deal
The saga continues!
Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su is suing Oh Polly after her £1million deal with the fashion brand fell through, it’s been reported.
Last month, it was reported Ekin-Su had been dropped by Oh Polly because the huge deal “wasn’t working” and her range “struggled to appeal to Oh Polly’s customer base”. Ekin-Su had created a range with the brand, which has since been placed into a sale.
Following this, it has now been reported Ekin-Su is suing the brand over money involved in the contract. A source told The Sun: “Both the brand and Ekin have been left disappointed and there is now a dispute over money owed on the lucrative contract.”
Straight after she left the 2022 villa as the winner, Ekin-Su was backed to be the most in-demand Islander of all time. She secured multiple brand deals, one of which being a £1million deal with Oh Polly. But, less than six months later, The Daily Mail reported she’d been dropped by the company, and she hasn’t posted about the brand since last year.
At the time, a source said: “Ekin-Su and Oh Polly have parted ways. It’s complicated right now, and Ekin-Su won’t be publicly commenting on the end of her working relationship with the brand but there will be no further collaborations.”
Ekin-Su wore Oh Polly items over 30 times during her time in the villa, so a lot of items in her collection reflected the style she had on the show. At the time of signing, Oh Polly described the deal as its “biggest brand collaboration yet” and Ekin-Su said it was “a real pinch me moment.”
