Love Island winner Ekin-Su ‘dropped’ by Oh Polly after brand deal ‘wasn’t working’
It was said to be the biggest brand deal in Love Island history
Ekin-Su has reportedly been dropped by fashion brand Oh Polly, after signing what was believed to be the biggest Love Island brand deal in history.
Straight after she left the 2022 villa as the winner, Ekin-Su was backed to be the most in-demand Islander of all time. She secured multiple brand deals, one of which being a £1million deal with Oh Polly. But, less than six months later, The Daily Mail has reported she has been dropped by the company, and hasn’t posted about the brand since last year.
A source told MailOnline that the partnership, which saw Ekin-Su launch her first ever collection in October, “wasn’t working” and her range “struggled to appeal to Oh Polly’s customer base”.
They said: “Ekin-Su and Oh Polly have parted ways. It’s complicated right now, and Ekin-Su won’t be publicly commenting on the end of her working relationship with the brand but there will be no further collaborations.”
Ekin-Su wore Oh Polly items over 30 times during her time in the villa, so a lot of items in her collection reflected the style she had on the show. At the time of signing, Oh Polly described the deal as its “biggest brand collaboration yet” and Ekin-Su said it was “a real pinch me moment.”
Despite this, Ekin isn’t exactly short of work since she left the villa. She also had another deal with hair brand Beauty Works, and then went on to secure a third deal on top of these, signing with BPerfect Cosmetics. Just to top all this off, she has just been appearing Dancing on Ice, which she is believed to have been paid £100k for.
