Jack’s extremely detailed explanation for taking off after Faye’s birthday on Love Is Blind

On Love Is Blind UK season three, Jack and Faye had their first major argument when Jack suddenly took off in the early hours of the morning after Faye’s birthday celebrations. He apparently went for a walk across London, in sliders, with Find Friends turned off on his phone. Plenty of Love Is Blind viewers have considered Jack’s behaviour a bit unusual, and theorised over what he could have gone out for. To put our minds at ease, Jack has now given an exceptionally detailed explanation for his strange excursion.

Jack told the content creator Lottie Hulme: “We had everyone back to our apartment until 6:30am. [It was] amazing at the time, until the walls start closing in on you and you realise you’re meeting Faye’s parents for the first time in a couple of hours. So, I had to get out … I just went for a little walk. I don’t think it’s a big deal walking in slides. I live by the beach.”

Although Faye recounted the story a bit differently on Love Is Blind, Jack insisted he “was only gone for an hour”, and the walk was after 6:30am. Jack had actually spoken with Faye’s parents at the birthday party – although their “meeting the parents” session was planned for the next day.

Apparently, Jack didn’t speak to Faye before he took off because he “didn’t want to stress her out.”

“I was actually going through it a little bit,” Jack continued, “self-inflicted, so you don’t get any sympathy for being stupidly p*ssed before meeting the parents.”

He clarified that he put out by “an accumulation of things” and was feeling “nervous to meet the parents, pressures of the show, massively p*ssed at 6:30 in the morning”.

“I’m not sorry for going out,” Jack said, “If I need to get out, I’ll get out. What I’m sorry for is the way I spoke to Faye.”

Jack also added that he’s “vented a lot of frustration with behind-the-scenes things”, but didn’t elaborate further.
