Er, Ryan’s ‘public speaker’ job is way more mysterious than we saw on Love Is Blind UK

On Love Is Blind UK season three, Ryan and Cuba’s hippie-dippy spirit love is threatened by his job. Cuba felt she hadn’t spent much time with her new fiancé, as he jetted off for a work event, then needed to “decompress” for at least a day without her. So, what even is Ryan Roberts’s oh-so-important job? It’s a lot more mysterious than we saw on Love Is Blind.

What actually is Ryan from Love Is Blind’s job?

Ryan was introduced on Love Is Blind as a “public speaker/entrepreneur”. From the glimpse we saw on Netflix, Ryan seems to be a motivational speaker who gets paid to tell people to follow their dreams and sh*t.

I have scrolled through all Ryan’s social media, and his LinkedIn, and endured a 21-minute long YouTube video called “I’m 34 and This Is What I Wish Someone Told Me Sooner”. I’m still not entirely sure what Ryan speaks about so motivationally.

In the aforementioned video, he does say: “I’ve built a couple of companies that nobody’s heard of.” I’m afraid I’m still none the wiser as to what these “couple of companies” actually are. Although, in one Instagram post he tells a lengthy story about “a modelling job at a new bar” in Vietnam when he was 24.

Ryan has given speeches at events run by Beyond Men Mastermind, “a premium ecosystem for high-performing men”. The vibes are exactly as you’d expect.

However, a lot of Ryan’s work seems to be for an organisation called Unfold Your Freedom.

Now, Unfold Your Freedom claims to be “a global community built for people who want more freedom, more alignment, and a sustainable way to earn online – without the overwhelm”. Various events and webinars “support” members to build an online business.

Ryan has been part of this since at least October 2024 when a social post referred to him as “one of the top leaders”.

Unfold Your Freedom appears to be one of several organisations connected to a larger company called Enagic. Unfold Your Freedom’s Facebook page says: “UYF was created to offer support and help us grow within our Enagic business”.

Enagic‘s own website says it is “the global leader in manufacturing alkaline water ioniser machines that transform ordinary tap water into hydrogen-rich Kangen Water right at home”. Enagic engages with “Independent Distributors” to sell these water-related wellness products. The website emphasises: “Enagic’s business model is product-focused. Independent Distributors earn commissions from product sales, not recruitment.”

Enagic has the structure of a “multi-level marketing scheme”, according to this investigation by ABC. Multi-level marketing is legal in the UK.
