Love Island Australia’s Courtney accuses Aaron of body shaming her when they were on the show

Aaron recently entered the winter series as a bombshell

Love Island Australia star Courtney Stubbs has claimed in a teary TikTok video that Aaron Waters body shamed and skin shamed her when they were on the show together in 2021. Aaron recently re-entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell on the UK’s winter series.

In a three-part video, Courtney claimed that Aaron made comments about her skin and weight while they were initially coupled up on the show and would turn other Islanders against her.

In a TikTok video, Courtney said she never felt the need to address the issue before but since Aaron was introduced on Love Island UK and seeing his promo video for the show she began crying. Courtney claimed that Aaron bullied, skin shamed and body shamed her while they were on Love Island Australia together in 2021. “The whole show he made it his personal vendetta against me to make sure every single guy felt the same way he felt about me,” she said.

Courtney then recalled her time on Love Island Australia and the morning after they had all coupled up. She said: “The first morning of the show he told me he didn’t want to pursue things with me further and he said, ‘I like clean girls. Girls who take care of their skincare and you’re really not into that stuff.’ So he was referring to my acne. I had really bad acne at this point because I had just started my accutane journey and my skin was purging which I obviously felt so insecure about going on TV with my skin like that.

“So to have someone point that out to me it’s like, ‘Great, guys are going to notice this the whole show.’ And then he goes, ‘I obviously like when girls take care of their bodies and go to the gym and stuff like that.’ When I went onto the show, I was 10 kilos heavier than I have ever been, it had been a year or so since I came off the pill so it was really hard for me to lose weight, so I was going on the show not feeling confident in my skin or body and then he straight up shamed me for my own skin and shamed me for my body. It was so mean.”

Courtney claimed that Aaron’s comments about her body and skin were not the “end of it”, as he would allegedly put her down for “the rest of the show”. She said: “Whenever I would speak he would tell me to shut up or whenever I would say something he didn’t agree with he would be like ‘fuck off Courtney’. Aaron would tell the guys not to go for me. It came to the point that Noah and I were together in the end and another girl came in and Aaron was the first one in his ear telling him not to go for me. I don’t know why men like these get onto shows, let alone again.”

Courtney claimed that in Aaron’s promo video for entering the villa, he was putting her down. She said: “I never did anything wrong to him. He is literally just a mean girl and it’d be nice for people to know what he’s like and maybe this season will.” In Aaron’s promo video, he says: “So the first girl that I coupled up with in the villa was my least favourite. Definitely wasn’t the girl for me, so I don’t beat around the bush.”

In a clip from Love Island Australia season two, Aaron is asked what girl he is most attracted to in the villa and he said Jess, while in a couple with Courtney.

The Tab has contacted ITV and Aaron’s representative for comment.
