Inside the relationship between Love Island 2023’s Lana and I’m A Celeb’s Owen Warner

‘We had a bit of a lockdown relationship, so we spent a lot of time together’

Ahead of the Love Island 2023 villa, Lana Jenkins was in a relationship with I’m A Celeb runner-up, Owen Warner. Wild, I know.

In tonight’s episode Lana opens up to Ron, who she is currently coupled up with, about her previous relationship as he questions her about her ex. During a game of Never Have I Ever, the Islanders ask if anyone has ever got with or dated a celebrity. Lana then says: “My most recent ex-boyfriend is an actor”.

Obviously, Ron is very interested about who this is and what happened – and so are we. So, what actually went down between Lana and Owen Warner? Here’s everything we know.

Love Island star Lana dated Owen Warner two years ago

Lana has previously revealed she split from Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner two years ago. It was her most recent relationship, after they met through mutual friends in 2020. Lana works as a makeup artist and has worked with soap stars through her career before, so it’s no surprise the pair are in similar circles.

Lana and Owen dated after his his split from fellow Hollyoaks actress, Stephanie Davies. According to reports, they met during lockdown, when Lana worked on CBBC’s So Awkward. They split after a couple of months.

Lana said: “We had a bit of a lockdown relationship, so we spent a lot of time together. And then when we ended, we ended amicably, so I have nothing bad to say in terms of our relationship and the time that we spent together.”

However, Lana was said to be “heartbroken” over the split, and decided she couldn’t watch Owen when he was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, last year. She said: “I have had one heartbreak which was my last relationship, but I think coming out of that made me a better, stronger person.

Speaking about him being on I’m A Celeb, Lana added: “I just thought it’s a bit weird to watch your ex for an hour on telly every evening, so I didn’t bother. But I did send him a message when he got out and was like, ‘Well done. That’s amazing that you came runner-up.’ So it was nice.”

Love Island 2023 continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. For all the latest Love Island news and gossip and for the best memes and quizzes, like The Holy Church of Love Island on Facebook.
