The full messy picture of Channing Tatum’s alleged burner account, and the mean things it writes

The internet is fully convinced that Channing Tatum is running a burner account on Instagram where he posts – among other jarring things – negative things about Harry Styles and his ex, Zoë Kravitz. 

It’s a bizarre turn of events, which comes after Channing Tatum got a bit weird on his Instagram stories following the news of their engagement. 

“My brain and heart divorced / a decade ago / over who was to blame about how big a mess I had become / eventually, they couldn’t be in the same room with each other,” he wrote in one post. 

Now, five months later, Channing Tatum is back in the news for more Instagram-related messiness. Here’s the full picture. 

What is Channing Tatum’s alleged burner account? 

Over on Instagram, there’s an anonymous account under the username Nonya Bidness (@bidness_nonya) that has been dropping comments on various posts. 

As for why the internet thinks it’s Channing Tatum himself, the evidence is admittedly sketchy. Initially, the account only followed Channing, and the actor was following back. Oddly, after the claims went super viral, Channing and Nonya Bidness unfollowed each other. According to The Sun, it’s now been straight up deactivated.

There’s no rhyme or reason to most of the comments, but there are quite a few about Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz, whom Channing was engaged to. 

“Just here for the hate,” the account commented on a post from DeuxMoi, which showed Harry and Zoë. 

Another post from a few months earlier read: “When I see these two I think back at how her former fiancé called her the most intentional person he knows. I wonder how contextual he was being . . . To me intentional = calculated. He was speaking in terms of film-making but leaning towards her as a person in general too.

“Now she is constantly spotted with Harry compared to the ex who we heard about long before they were seen together. And when they were seen together it was far less frequent.”

Though some of the comments are mean-spirited, there are also so many instances of Nonya Bidness bigging up the Magic Mike actor. 

“He’s giving Shawn MacArthur from ‘Fighting’ vibes,” the account commented on a picture of Channing. 

Beneath a video showing the actor in a street interview, the account wrote: “He’s so genuine. No false pretences with this guy. And funny as hell, too.”

Amidst the glowing reviews of Channing Tatum and messy comments about Zoë Kravitz, Nonya Bidness also engaged in some rather odd side quests. 

In one, which was underneath a post about Ayo Edebiri in Inside Out 2, the account posted: “Love her! And she’s just getting started.” 

“@lancelamar I agree with the first part but the optics rub me the wrong way. Cynthia is extra and problematic. This reads more performative than real to me, respectfully. But I hear you,” read another comment, this time about Cynthia Erivo. 

But is it actually Channing Tatum?

More and more screenshots of messy Instagram behaviour keep emerging online, but it hasn’t actually been confirmed as Channing Tatum’s burner account. In fact, people have been sharing so-called “evidence” proving it’s not, which seems to hinge on Nonya Bidness being a Gemini and Channing a Taurus. 

Channing Tatum has been approached for comment.
