65-year-old woman dies after car crash in Manchester area populated by students
Police are asking witnesses to come forward
A 65 year-old woman has passed away and three others were left critically injured after a car hit a tree in Manchester.
On Monday 16th March, around 5:30pm, a Kia Ceed crashed into a tree on Wilmslow Road in East Didsbury.
Greater Manchester Police said four people inside were seriously hurt and a 65-year old woman died from her injuries.
After the crash, police taped off the area while emergency services responded. The road was closed off between Parrs Wood Avenue and Wingate Drive for several hours while investigations were carried out.
Part of Parrs Wood was also shut off.
Officers are now appealing for information following the fatal traffic collision. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also looking to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage, dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident or of the moments leading up to the incident.
