Top scientist claims mystery ‘alien mothership’ is heading to Earth that ‘may destroy us’

It’s near our sun right now

A top Harvard theoretical physicist has claimed a mysterious piece of “alien technology” could be heading towards Earth that could may have “huge implications for humanity”.

Astronomers first noticed the object, called 3I/ATLAS, in July and initially thought it was a comet. However, they then realised it has a different appearance and behaviour to normal comets. It’s the third-ever object from outside our solar system to be discovered passing near the Earth.

Don’t get too excited, because it probably is just a comet. However, Israeli-American physicist Avi Loeb, a Professor of Science at Harvard University, says there is a 40% chance it’s “alien technology”. Speaking to Fox News, Loeb explained that the object, which is the size of Manhattan, has been behaving in “unusual ways,” with eight different “anomalies” including a strange “glow” and “tail”.

“Although it could be a comet and of natural origin, it could also be something like a trojan horse, a black swan event,” he said. This is a metaphor to describe an event that comes as a huge surprise and has a massive effect.

On his Medium blog, Loeb theorised that it could be an alien “mothership” that is “alien tech masquerading as a natural comet”. He also said it’s travelling on an ideal route to drop “mini-probes” to Earth.

“The more likely scenario from an engineering perspective involves a mothership that releases mini-probes which perform a reverse Oberth maneuver to slow down at perihelion and intercept Earth,” he said. “It may come to save us or destroy us. We’d better be ready for both options and check whether all interstellar objects are rocks.”

The mysterious object is flying very close to our sun on 29th October, but it’s going to be at its closest point to Earth on 19th December, according to the physicist.

“If 3I/ATLAS is a massive mothership, it will likely continue along its original gravitational path and ultimately exit the Solar system,” Loeb added. However, NASA insists this is just a normal comet that “poses no threat to Earth and will remain far away”. We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.
