Dean spills all in first interview since quitting MAFS, addressing Sarah and what’s next
He has big plans for staying in the public eye
This week, Dean and Sarah finally quit MAFS UK 2025 after a turbulent marriage. They managed weeks on the show, despite never really having much of a relationship at all. Now, Dean has spoken in an interview about his time on MAFS UK 2025, and beyond.
Sarah constantly blamed not being able to find a “spark” in their relationship as to why things weren’t progressing. Despite this, at the most recent commitment ceremony, both she and Dean wrote “stay”. However, in a huge turn, the experts managed to convince them to leave.
Whilst the show was on, people called out Dean for his “toxic positivity” and always pretending things were fine, when they really weren’t. Sarah also got the ick when Dean rapped all the time, and people (yes, really) questioned if he was on the show for fame and a music career.
Speaking to The Sun, he’s now opened up about all this backlash….and the music career. “I think when I saw the negative comments I thought, people should just wait, I know what’s coming up. Don’t rise. And I can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s how it is isn’t it?” Dean said.

He previously called Sarah his “rock” which felt very different to what we’ve seen on the show. In this interview, he added: “And Sarah is good. We help each other out and that’s all we can do.” Prior to this, he’d said: “Sarah was really a rock for me in there and helped me learn so much about myself.”

Talking about the music career, Dean added: “I am not on the show to promote my music career. What music career? I just do it because I like to sing and have fun and it’s just who I am. I am back at work as I write games for ships, but I’m hoping to see what all of this brings now. It’s a crazy world now. I feel very lucky. Am I going to start a music career? Who knows. If the people want it.”
Do the people want it?
