61-year-old man arrested after series of burglaries in Manchester student flats

The charges were shared with the public two days after the incident


A man has been arrested and charged following a series of burglaries in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police said the burglaries were reported from Anson Road in Victoria Park early on Saturday 11th October 2025.

Paul Morgan, a 61-year-old man who comes from Kentford Drive in Manchester, has been named by police as a suspect and has been charged with four burglary offences in connection to these incidents.

Longsight and Moss Side Police reported on its X account that Morgan has also been charged with assaulting a police officer.

Manchester Evening News reported this morning that the burglaries allegedly occurred in a block of student flats on Anson Road. The incidents were reported via a 999 call at 4:30am.

Morgan will appear in Manchester Magistrates’ Court today following these charges, according to Greater Manchester Police.

In the full statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Paul Morgan (12/08/1964) of Kentford Drive, Manchester, has been charged with four burglary offences and assaulting a police officer, and will appear in court today.”
