Yikes! MAFS UK groom’s ex says he ‘lied’ to her and ‘disappeared’ before going on the show

Steven from MAFS UK has had a great start to this season, instantly clicking with his new bride, Nelly on their wedding day. But his influencer ex-girlfriend has just taken to social media to share what she really thinks.

Melissa Stacey, Steven’s ex, is a lifestyle content creator with over 50k followers on Instagram. Most of her content is about her life as a single mum of two. In a recent TikTok, she shared her feelings about her ex appearing on MAFS.

The influencer stitched a video of herself from January of this year, holding a bouquet of roses and looking happy as she lip-syncs to the lyrics from Into You by Paramore. In the more recent clip, she laughs at her past self, shaking her head and rolling her eyes.

“The same person who can buy you 100 roses and date you for months, can also lie to you and disappear to get married on national TV,” said Melissa in her caption.

The comments are flooded. with support from her followers, who apparently knew about the relationship before.

One viewer said: “Omg I was wondering what happened with you and him!!! Wtf honestly you can’t make it up nowadays.”

The 29-year-old confirmed she was talking about Steven by replying to a comment that mentioned him.

“He seemed nice, showed his real colours eventually,” she said. “Genuinely wish him the best, though.”

Steven’s MAFS journey has been pretty smooth so far. When his bride Nelly opened up about her relationship history and fear of being cheated on, he was quick to reassure her by promising he’d never cheated before. But after Melissa’s comments, people are worried he might not be as wholesome as he makes out to be.

When asked about Melissa’s TikTok, Steven told The Sun: “Melissa is a lovely girl and yes we dated for a couple of months, but ultimately things did not progress into anything official as I didn’t see a future in us. I then went onto the show to find a wife.”
