Fundraiser page raises $5million for Charlie Kirk and his family, despite his huge net worth
The fundraiser goal is even higher
A fundraiser page set up after the death of Charlie Kirk has raised millions in aid of him and his family. This is despite the political activist having a net worth in the tens of millions.
31-year-old Charlie Kirk was killed on Wednesday last week, during a speech at a Utah Valley University event. Following this, a GoFundMe was set up in his name. This has since been taken down, but a new fundraiser has been launched.
“Support Charlie Kirk’s Family Today,” reads the GoSendMe page. It’s been set up by ALP Patches, a nicotine patches brand. “Our team at ALP is heartbroken by the death of Charlie Kirk — a devoted husband, father, and friend. Love for God, family, and country defined his life,” the brand said.
“Charlie leaves behind his wife, Erika, and their two young children. As they navigate this unimaginable loss, we want to rally together to provide security and stability for Charlie’s loved ones. Our goal is to raise as much as possible to support the Kirk family. ALP has contributed $1 million to this effort, and we invite you to join us in honouring Charlie’s legacy by giving whatever you are able. We hope you’ll join us.”
So far, the page has raised $5.2million and has a goal of $6million. There have been over 44,000 donations.

How much was Charlie Kirk worth?
People on Twitter have been discussing the fundraising, and why so much money has been raised for someone who had a substantial net worth already. According to multiple reports, Charlie Kirk left behind a $12million fortune.

“Why would they need a fundraiser with a $12million net worth,” one person said on Twitter, sharing a screenshot of the fundraising page. Another added the page has “no shame.”
