Fowlers is moving to a new home in Jimmy Allen’s
Fowlers has relocated to Jimmy Allen’s top bar
According to a video edit posted by Jimmy Allen’s on TikTok, Fowlers “has evolved and joined with” the club.
@jimmyallensdurham 🎤 Fowlers Karaoke upstairs been moved to upstairs ✨ 🔥 DJ Dave B downstairs as always 🍹 Drinks = same prices 💃 Free entry all night! #DurhamNights #karaoke #FreeEntryVibes #jimmyallensdurham #jimmyallensnightclub
The video details how Fowlers, the karaoke bar known for Woodgates (Jimmy’s signature drink), free queue skips for Jimmy’s, and singalong sessions, is expected to move to the top bar of Jimmy Allen’s, one of Durham’s oldest and best-known clubs.
But don’t panic: The essentials aren’t changing. According to the post, DJ Dave will remain downstairs as always. Drinks prices and free entry are also not expected to change.
As of today, Friday 12th September, “Fowlers are taking over the top bar at Jimmy Allens”, says Fowlers’ Instagram post.
The TikTok features a seemingly AI-generated song (yes, really), which name-drops local clubs Osbourne’s and Klute.
A different AI song and video edit has been posted by Fowlers Karaoke Bar on Facebook, which supports the information in the TikTok.
Both accounts have featured a new logo, combining the previously separate Fowlers and Jimmy’s branding.
While the two spots have always been associated with one another, it is currently unclear why the move has taken place, and no plans for Fowlers’ former Back Silver Street site have been made public.
