Harry’s staggering earnings from football when he’s not being a menace on Love Island

His club posted a TikTok about his wages

We’ve met countless semi-professional and professional footballers on Love Island, but this year’s Harry Cooksley might have the biggest earnings of the lot.

Look, I’m not going to pretend to know (or care) about anything football-related, but over the years we’ve seen Scott Van Der Sluis, Aaron Simpson, Finn Tapp, Tom Clare, Luke Trotman, Tyrique Hyde, and countless others on Love Island. It’s become a running theme, and in the new 2025 season, Farnham Town FC’s vice-captain, Harry Cooksley, was added to the mix.

He signed with the team in 2023 after stints at a range of other clubs, and he’s had 18 goals across 78 appearances.

Farnham Town FC has been very active on TikTok ever since Harry got cast in Love Island. Amidst reactionary videos of his moments on the show, they posted a video entitled, “How much non-league players are paid.”

“Yeah, that’s why we brought him in,” team manager Paul Johnson said. “That’s where seven grand a week goes on Cooksley, the others play for nothing.”

Although it’s not confirmation, this suggests that Harry is earning a whopping £7,000 a week, or £28,000 a month, from football. All in all, that comes to £336,000 a year – and people just don’t believe it.

“Is this real?” one person questioned, as another said, “£7,000 a week? HOWWWW.”

Why Love Island’s Harry could be earning £7k a week

In a video for Farnham’s YouTube channel, another player revealed that he’d paid £300 for a mate’s old car after driving his mum’s for a few years. He’d had the vehicle three years before the time of the video, and while we don’t know the player’s individual situation, it’s hardly the spending habits of someone who earns £336,000 a year.

However, later in the video, they made a series of jokes at Harry’s expense, suggesting he is one of the few players who is paid a lot more for his skills. He’s also vice-captain, so that surely adds to his weekly wages? In the clip, they detailed how non-league teams will hire specific talent to drive up the value of the team, and Harry is one of them.

Though not confirmed, Harry could very well be earning £7,000 a week from football – if his skills on the pitch are as expert as his chat.

Farnham Town FC has been approached for comment.
