Georgia Steel is getting dragged for breaking fundamental rule at Dani Dyer’s wedding

Georgia Steel is being dragged for seeming to break a key rule whilst attending the wedding of her Love Island co-star, Dani Dyer. Dani married footballer Jarrod Bowen at a lavish ceremony that took place in the last few days.

Dani married Jarrod, who plays for West Ham, at a gorgeous outdoor ceremony that looked amazing. Famous faces were everywhere, and the party continued indoors after the main event. However, a lot of people were distracted by Georgia Steel.

This is because she appeared to be wearing a white dress to the ceremony. Traditionally, it is deemed a major faux pas to wear white to wedding. This is because white is associated with the bride, symbolising purity, innocence, and the beginning of a new chapter.

Georgia shared a video and some photos from the event. She matched the dress with pair of white Christian Louboutin heels. “Looks a bit too close to white,” one person said. “No. It’s white. What’s wrong with you?.”

Another added: “Of course you would wear white to a wedding. Wasn’t chosen to be a bridesmaid so thought she would be the bride instead?”. Brutal. “I knew you would be the type of person to wear white to a wedding,” said another. Along the same lines, someone else said: “If there was someone I’d expect to wear this to a wedding, it would be you.”

But, in Georgia’s defence, it does look like it could be just the lighting of her posts. She actually wore a pale yellow lace dress from Miss Circle. On the website, the dress is described as “soft beige”. Which yeah, is pretty close to white. “Colour may vary due to lighting on images,” the site specifies.

Someone in the comments of the video Georgia posted pointed out they saw a lot of the guests appeared to be wearing pastel colours, so this may have been the theme. Either way, this is very awkward!

This isn’t the first time Georgia has faced backlash over her choice of outfit. She also faced criticism last summer, for making a “get ready with me” video ahead of visiting a mosque in Abu Dhabi.
