A look at the incredibly hands-on parent life of Montana Jordan from Young Sheldon

He’s a natural dad both in real life and on TV

Young Sheldon viewers go mad for any behind the scenes footage, blooper reel or cast selfie – especially if it’s one of the Cooper children.

Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage has brought us all the Montana screen time we could want and more, but he’s actually got a pretty hectic life himself outside of the show.

He’s not only engaged, but he’s also got a child. That’s a lot to juggle alongside a successful acting career as an early 20 something. At least one of us has our life sorted. Here’s a look inside the life of Montana Jordan.

Montana is 22 and has a one year old daughter

After proposing to his girlfriend of four years, Montana and Jenna shared the news of their engagement in January 2025 after welcoming their first child together last year. The actor got down on one knee in front of huge letters which read “Marry Me”, complete with a sea of rose petals, of course.

Jenna shared a number of photos from the flashy engagement on Instagram, writing: “All I can say is YESS! I can’t think of a better person that I would want to spend the rest of my life with. Montana is such an amazing father and he has a generous kind loving heart that only few get to see, so glad I’m one of them.”

Emma Rae just turned one

Emma was born in May 2024 and Montana celebrated her first birthday last week with a series of photos from her first year of life. Captioning the post, he wrote: “Today is your day baby girl!! One year ago today your beautiful little face entered this world. The best day of my life. You are a blessing to Momma and Dada, Emma Rae. Daddy loves you endlessly!”

Montana often shares photos of his life with his daughter and is often praised by his fiancé and cast members from Young Sheldon for being such a great dad. He’s always introducing her to new things, whether that’s plopping her in the front seat of a (parked) dune buggy, popping her on top of horses or taking her on flights. It looks like fatherhood comes naturally to him.

Both Iain Armitage and Raegan Reverent wished Emma a happy first birthday in the comments of the post, writing “Happy first birthday! We love you!” and “Happy birthday Emma! I love you!!” respectively.

Annie Potts also added “Happy birthday Emma!!!!” whilst Emily Osment, playing Mandy, wrote: “I love you emma!!!”.

Raegan from Young Sheldon says Emma is named after her

The first Cooper child from the show to have their own child, Montana is supported by all of his Young Sheldon castmates from the show, but Raegan especially.

Montana and Raegan have one of the closest friendships from the show. When Emma Rae’s name was shared online, Raegan wrote “Auntie Rae 🤝 Emma Rae 🎀” in a nod to her own name.

Raegan is a huge supporter of Montana’s and is always commenting on his photos of Emma, whether it being to wish her a happy birthday or just share her love for her. It’s sweet to know he’s got such a good support system from the show.

He’s raising Emma on a farm around animals

Forget horse girls, Montana is a huge animal lover and has a special relationship with horses. So much so that Raegan even joked: “He needs to be in the wedding”.
He’s sharing his love for animals with his daughter, who seems to be afraid of nothing and has already been in the saddle.

She’s even made it to set

A cross over between his family life and work life, Montana Jordan shared a photo of Emma at his work place, where
she even made it onto Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage set and mingled with the cast. Maybe she’s set for a life behind the camera, following in the steps of her father. She certainly is cute enough for it.
Raegan wrote under the photo “I miss her.”

He’s totally smitten with his family of four

Despite only being 22 years old, Montana Jordan lives a wholesome life and is totally smitten with his fiancé, daughter and dog, Dolly. He works hard on set but still has time to spend days out with his daughter, as well as live a simple life.
