Erm, so Reform UK has opened its first pub and it’s in Lancashire
The Talbot was formerly a Conservative drinking spot
Blackpool has become host to the UK’s first Reform pub, which was opened on Monday 12th May.
Reform UK members Peter Flynn, 53, and Nicholas Lowe, have co-owned the pub for 15 years and have recently renamed it from The Talbot, to The Talbot: Reform UK Club.

The change in name also comes with a complete rebranding of the exterior, painting the venue sky blue and replacing the signs with the party’s logos.
The rebrand comes just two weeks after the party’s landslide victory nationwide in many local councils. This included Lancashire County Council, in which the party won 53 out of 84 available seats, despite only having two councillors before the election. Blackpool itself only has two Reform councillors, but it has been stated by Flynn that the pub was opened in co-operation with Blackpool South Reform 2024 parliamentary candidate, Mark Butcher.

The pub has two storeys and was originally built in the 1920s. Downstairs hosts a bar connected to an indoor seating area, with next door being a games room with snooker and darts facilities. Upstairs is a 180-person function room.
Pints of beer cost from £3 to £4 and there is currently a deal on, two pints for £6. Furthermore, the pub serves exported beers such as Cruzcampo and food such as curry for £4.50 and £3.50 respectively
When talking about the pub, co-owner Peter Flynn said: “We did it to promote the pub but also to share the word and policies of Reform,” adding that they had “no confidence in Labour or the Conservatives.”

The co-owners have revealed this is far from just a gimmick as the venue is attracting a loyal and widespread crowd, with one person reportedly coming all the way from Glasgow.
Regarding Party leader Nigel Farage, the two co-owners said he is “100 per cent” coming up to visit, and claims they “will be pouring a pint for him at some point but we just aren’t sure when.”
