All the many times Veronica tried to crack it and get famous before MAFS Australia 2025
‘She treated MAFS like a personal audition’
It would seem that MAFS Australia 2025 bride Veronica Cloherty has been trying to get famous long before her experiment days. The personal trainer has tried her hand at acting, music videos and competitions, and has always been in the spotlight.
Veronica didn’t exactly have the best luck on MAFS. She was matched with Eliot, and things didn’t go well for them. They butted heads a lot, and Veronica was accused of not being very understanding with Eliot. There was then all the drama of what *might* have happened between her and Dave during partner swap week.
But, this wasn’t the first time she’s put herself out there. Lots of the MAFS Australia 2025 cast have strived for fame before the show, but Veronica really has. Here’s a rundown of every time Veronica tried to get famous before MAFS Australia 2025.
She is an actor, best known Streets of Colour

As well as being a personal trainer, Veronica has worked as an actor. Her biggest credit to date is for her part in feature film, Streets of Colour. She was also in limited series RIFK, and short film, While We Live.
Veronica was a Miss Universe finalist, twice
Veronica is a former Miss Universe contestant, and according to IMDb, made it to the final twice. She competed in 2016 and 2019. However, she failed to make the final cut in her bid for the crown.

When asked in an interview about what motivated her to enter the contest, Veronica said: “I think it’s important for young women to have a voice and to have a seat at the table. To be a part of important conversations about relevant issues facing young Australia’s in the community. It’s also an incredibly empowering program and a great opportunity to learn and grow as a person while inspiring others to do the same for themselves.”
Despite what it looked like with Eliot on MAFS, Veronica also described herself as a “keen listener”. She added: “I love to talk with people about their talents and what drives them to do their best in life.”
She appeared in a music video
I swear, every reality show has at least one cast member who has been in a cringe music video in the past. Veronica played the love interest of Stephen Sanchez, in his music video for song Baby Blue Bathing Suit.
In the video, she can be seen playfully running down the beach with a surfboard, and then the couple attend a dance together. Veronica is in the crowd as Stephen performs. Very cutesy.
Veronica apparently only went on MAFS to ‘get followers’

When Veronica was on MAFS Australia, insiders said she wanted to be famous before, and she still wants to be famous now. They accused her of only going on the show to “get followers” and treating the experiment as an “audition”.
Insiders spoke to Daily Mail Australia, and brutally labelled Veronica a “high maintenance diva”. They said she’d “failed to make an impact” in the pageantry and acting worlds, so was trying reality TV instead.
“She’s treating this show like a personal audition,” a source close to production said. “The minute the cameras are on, she’s performing, but behind the scenes, it’s all about advancing her career.” Apparently Veronica was overheard on set talking about wanting to get followers after the show.
The source added: “She’s playing a character just to extend her screen time. She’s here to launch her acting career, and everyone knows it.” Ouch.
