‘It was tragic to watch’: Love Island winner Ekin-Su ‘thrown out’ of exclusive BAFTAs party

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has reportedly been left feeling a little embarrassed after being turned away from an exclusive BAFTAs after party. The awards took place on Sunday night, and saw huge stars of the screen all gather together for the swanky event.

Ekin-Su was one of many former Love Island cast members to be invited for the red carpet, but one thing she seemingly wasn’t invited to was the afterparty. The dinner was for a select few only, and Ekin found herself “wandering around” trying to sneak in, but with no luck.

A source claimed to MailOnline: “Ekin-Su was aimlessly wandering around while all the real stars were seated at the bash having dinner. It was actually quite tragic to witness. She tried to blend in with the crowd, but was eventually spotted without a dinner invitation by BAFTA’s security team and was asked to leave. It was so humiliating.” Ouch.

It’s been reported a number of A-Listers were in the dinner, onlooking. They included Damian Lewis, Alison Steadman, David Tennant, Billie Piper, and James Corden.

However, sources close to Ekin-Su maintain she was, in fact, trying to find her way out at the time. Representatives for Ekin-Su confirmed she was a guest of P&O Cruises, the event sponsor, and was not invited to the official BAFTA dinner.

The slip-up seemed to be missed from Ekin’s social updates from the event. “BAFTAs 25,” she sad in a post. “From red carpet to bts.” She shared a number of pictures of herself all glammed up, and getting ready for the event.

Noticeably absent from the event was Ekin’s All Stars boyfriend, Curtis Pritchard. He was in London but didn’t attend, which has definitely got people talking. Curtis’ ex, Maura Higgins, was in the comments section of Ekin’s post, though. “Gorgeous,” she said, with a love heart emoji.
