It’s the biggest competition of the year

You’ve seen round one of Lancaster’s 2025 BNOC nominees, and now it’s time for round two. These five icons were nominated by Lancaster students to take part in the toughest competition Lancaster has to offer. No, it’s not Roses (that’s getting easier by the year), it’s The Lancaster Tab’s Big Name On Campus!

Take a look at our five nominees below and fill out the Google Form at the bottom of the article for a chance to vote for who you want to enter into the BNOC semi-finals. Votes close at 2pm on Thursday 7th May, so get voting!

Jacob (also known as Yacob) – Third Year, Pendle

Recognise this icon from recent Snapchat stories?

You may know Jacob from the Lancaster University snapchat group, because he’s been nominated for his “notorious spoons reviews” that he posts on the group. We love an opinionated BNOC, and if you do too then you can use the Google Form to send Jacob from spoons to the BNOC semi-finals!

Emily – Third Year, County

Future actress coming to screens near you?

Emily was nominated for her kindness and positivity, her love of Hamilton and has been described as “basically a professional actress with too many credits to count.” Her friends say she’s always sending them positive vibes, and they couldn’t get through their diss seasons without her! If you want Emily to move onto the semi-finals, vote below!

Zehra – First Year, Bowland

She even comes with her own soundtrack

Zehra has been nominated both for being a lovely, cool person and for her on-campus fame. Her nomination let us know that Zehra’s friends “can’t walk five minutes with her” without bumping into one of the many people she knows. You can vote for Zehra at the bottom of this article.

Daniel – Second Year, Lonsdale

He’s featured on an iconic Lancs Instagram page…

Daniel was nominated for being the LU Muay Thai treasurer who has had his own taste of internet fame this year for featuring in numerous Lancs Crush posts, and being described as the “sexiest man on campus.” In the words of the person who nominated him: “He’s just the man.” You can vote for Daniel via the form below.

Kayleigh – Third Year, Grizedale

We love a girl with her own catchphrase

Kayleigh’s last name is Denton, and her nomination featured a truly iconic catchphrase: “Who is better than PresiDENTION?” Short, sharp and to the point, it sounds to us like a great way to begin your BNOC campaign…if you agree, take a look at the form!
