Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa have finally revealed what their relationship status actually is

After growing close on Celebrity Big Brother, Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa have finally broken their silence and revealed what’s actually going on between them.

People were convinced things were getting romantic between the pair, and the YouTuber brutally dumping her partner of four months, Kath Ebbs, at the show’s afterparty fuelled the rumours even more.

However, during an appearance on This Morning, the pair have insisted that their relationship is nothing more than really good friends right now – but JoJo didn’t rule out the idea of something happening in the future.

“So was your relationship and what’s going on between the two of you a catalyst in that [the split], is there stuff going on? There’s clearly a very tight bond,” Ben Shephard asked.

“Obviously we’re close, obviously we’re tight,” JoJo responded before Chris butted in: “The thing is our friendship is just a… it’s hard to explain… it’s just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship.”

“I think you can have a soulmate friendship, that’s a thing. And to me it’s like that energy of like, where it’s not like the standard friendship that you have with your friends, but it’s still a friendship,” he continued.

“We are friends and just, it’s just nice. That’s why I found it strange, that it’s such a strong friendship. But having someone in there to go through and experience that with, and have someone when you’re emotional, when you’re down, when you’re happy, that is beautiful.”

“That is genuinely an amazing thing and probably my favourite thing that I got from the whole show,” he added.

The TV host then pushed JoJo even further, saying: “It’s platonic right now, but JoJo, would you like it to be romantic? He’s a gorgeous boy.”

After joking about how gorgeous they both are, she said: “Look, he’s a great guy, it is platonic, we have a lot of fun together.”

However, she didn’t completely shut down the idea of them getting together in the future, saying: “Life is life. I don’t know any future of anything. But I’m really grateful for our dynamic we have and our bond we have and whatever life does, life will do.”
