The super strict security rules Barron Trump has to stick to while he’s a uni student

He has a sneaky way around one rule

Barron Trump (the 19-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump) is a student right now at New York University. The Secret Service have some really strict rules for how he can behave on campus.

Secret Service agents have to follow Barron Trump everywhere he goes – including around uni. An NYU student told TMZ Barron “barely exists” at uni because he isn’t allowed to stick around on campus, and has to be driven everywhere in an SUV.

The Secret Service also don’t allow Barron to give out his phone number to other students. A source told Page Six that sharing his number “creates more trouble than it’s worth. If people get the number, they would give it out and then a million people would be calling non stop. You’d have to change the number constantly and it’d become a merry-go-round.”

I guess he must miss out on all the highs and lows of uni WhatsApp groups?!

Apparently Barron Trump has a sneaky way around this strict rule. He hands out his Discord tag to other students and messages them on the platform. He also contacts friends and sends voice notes through his Xbox.

Barron Trump isn’t allowed to participate in as many different activities as other unis students. A student called Kaya Walker told Vanity Fair: “He goes to class, he goes home.”

Another NYU student said he once asked Barron Trump if he’d like to play basketball with him. Apparently Barron seemed interested, but said no. There were so many Secret Service officers lurking around that the student got the vibe “he wasn’t really allowed to do stuff”.
