Jacqui used a FAKE house for the MAFS Australia homestays, and there are three reasons
It was a rented Airbnb!
During the MAFS Australia homestays, Ryan went to stay at Jacqui’s home in Manly, Sydney… or so we all thought. It turns out, she was using a FAKE house!
The producers arranged for the bride to use a AU$200 (£96) a night Airbnb in the same area as her home, but they made out like it was her real house on the show.
In an Instagram post, Jacqui claimed it was all down to security reasons – but it seems like that’s not the full story.
“As a single lady, security and privacy is important to me and my friends. I didn’t feel comfortable opening my home up to all of Australia,” she said.
“Just so you know the ‘apartments’ the couples live in are actually also decorated hotel rooms.”
“Homestays is about getting to know someone in their usual neighbourhood doing usual activities. If you care about the actual homes you should watch a show like The Block, not MAFS lol,” she continued.
However, a production insider told Daily Mail Australia they used an Airbnb because her actual living situation was “too small” and impractical for filming.

“Her real bedroom was tiny, and the camera crew couldn’t fit in her apartment. Her roommates’ stuff was everywhere and they would’ve had to be asked to leave for filming,” they said.
Plus, the insider also claimed Jacqui had roommates living at her house at the time who left it in a “messy state,” so she didn’t feel comfortable with the camera crews filming there.

“Ryan and Jacqui were instructed not to make any mention that it was a fake house and just to pretend that it was actually Jacqui’s,” they added.
It’s pretty hypocritical because they’re about to visit Ryan’s house next, and we already saw that Jacqui didn’t hesitate to attack his living conditions in the teaser.
