Omg, MAFS Australia bride sets her sights on UK version for a second crack at finding love

Is a MAFS All Stars on the horizon?

MAFS Australia and the UK version are very different shows, and yet, one bride from season 12 has set her sights on our little island for a second attempt at finding happily ever after.

Married at First Sight is a worldwide phenomenon after first launching in Denmark in 2013 under the name Gift ved første blik. Since then, it’s spiraled into countless other countries (deep breath): Australia, the UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. Not all of them are still airing, but they all carry the drama and chaos the MAFS franchise is known for.

To this day, there has never been a bride or groom that has jumped ship to another version in a foreign country. The closest example we might have is MAFS Australia’s Mel Schilling offering her years of experience to the UK show alongside Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas.

But there’s a first time for everything, and now it looks like it could be a bride from season 12 of MAFS Australia.

Caution: There are some spoilers ahead.

Which MAFS Australia bride is dreaming of a UK do-over?

The bride looking to dip her toe in admittedly colder waters than Australia is noneother than Beth Kelly, currently (and recently) married to Teejay Halkias. By the subject of this article you might have gathered that Teejay and Beth do not last, which is sad because they genuinely seemed to have a connection in their first few episodes.

Still, MAFS Australia’s Beth is not giving up on love entirely, and some people in her comments have suggested she throw her hat in the ring for the next season of MAFS UK. Now, in a new interview with Yahoo, Beth has said she would “definitely” join the show if given the opportunity.

“Of course I f**king would! Why not?” she said. “I’ve obviously not been able to find myself an Australian lad, so I may as well go back to my home roots and try and find a Brit. Sign me up! I would love to do it. I’d do it in a heartbeat.”

MAFS UK only recently copied Australia’s format after earlier focusing on just two couples, and now the show is producing 30-episode strong seasons it could give Beth another chance at finding her man.

Beth appearing on MAFS UK would be a huge homecoming moment because, alongside Australia groom Billy Belcher, she is originally from the UK. We know that she moved to Australia 16 years ago when she was just 12 years old, but besides being born in Lancashire in the Northwest of England, we don’t know any specifics.

A lot has changed Beth, Woolworths has closed down and we are no longer part of the EU.
