Dude-bro to male model: We found old pictures of MAFS’ Teejay and his transformation is crazy

This week on MAFS Australia, we were introduced to business development manager and model Teejay Halkias who married Beth Kelly in an intruder ceremony.

Though it was somewhat upstaged by the Jacqui Burfoot’s antics and the fact that Teejay had once slept with Jamie Marinos, the bride and groom got off to a cracking start with almost instant chemistry. Though I can’t speak to what happens during the rest of the season, I’m really hoping they’re in it for the long haul.

Unlike some of the other cast members of season 12, Teejay seemingly isn’t aware that you can delete Instagram pictures because his grid goes back to 2011 when he was still in school. Buckle up because you’re in for a wild ride.

To celebrate Father’s Day in 2014, Teejay shared a picture of himself alongside his father, an unnamed sibling, and the caption: “Happy Father’s Day papa, love you long time.”

Teejay had longer hair a decade before starring in MAFS

Teejay looked incredibly dashing in his formal suit back in 2013, though he did admit through the hashtag that his date looked better than him. His hair was significantly longer and perfectly quaffed.

Tim would have loved Teejay’s skinny jean era

We all know that MAFS Tim LOVES a pair of skinny jeans, and it looks like Teejay once did too. There’s no judgment; we’ve all been there at one point or another, but there’s no excusing the cuffed ankles.

Teejay is now a working model, but long before turning his good looks into a career, he was practicing his “Blue Steele” on Instagram. He’s clearly come a long way because this looks like a passport picture.

I have now seen Teejay’s ankles more than that influencer’s nipples from the morning routine, and I’m not okay. Celebrating his sister’s 21st birthday in 2016, Teejay basically cuffed his chinos at his calf. Please stop.

Not to judge a book by its cover, but I’ve come across enough men in this exact outfit to know that Teejay was a handful in his youth. The Ralph Lauren shirt and ripped black skinny jeans are basically part of the f**kboy starter kit, so let’s hope he’s ditched those womanizing ways.

He’s mixed up his facial hair over the years

Teejay looked great with a bit of stubble, but the random patch of hair underneath his bottom lip just isn’t doing much. It pops up a few times throughout his Instagram grid, hence initially thinking it was a shadow, but I’m glad he’s no longer sporting it.

Okay, go back to the quiff

Teejay’s hair transformation is almost as striking as Eliot’s, and while I don’t have massive love to the jelled-up quiff, this is even worse.

FINALLY, the Teejay we know and love

I don’t want to jinx it, after all, we’ve only just met Teejay, but he might be one of my favourite grooms. He ditched the quiff around 2021 and has not looked back. Praise the hair gods.
