MAFS Australia’s Billy confesses he broke the rules ‘every week’ with one sneaky groom

After leaving the experiment, Billy has revealed that he broke the rules every single week on MAFS Australia – and he didn’t do it alone.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the groom confessed that he and Dave secretly met up during filming when they weren’t supposed to.

The show has very strict rules in place to keep cast members apart, ensuring that drama is kept a secret until dinner parties, but they didn’t listen.

“We was even going to the gym together at times, which we wasn’t allowed to do, and having little spa dates. Things like that,” Billy said.

“It was really nice to have someone there for me. And vice versa. To have Dave with me throughout the show was so important to me.”

“I had him like a wall that I could bounce off when things got hard – someone just to listen when you needed to chat. He was amazing,” he continued.

Billy said the two of them are like “copy and paste” and Dave gushed about his new BFF to Daily Mail Australia too.

“Him and I, throughout the night, connected, looking at each other and pulling faces, and we knew that we’d get along straight away,” he said.

“I couldn’t wait to see him when we moved into the apartments. He really was a solid rock for me in that experiment.”

“Look, Billy was there for me in moments that I needed him, and I was there for Billy in moments that he needed me with his relationship and stuff like that.”

Dave said the bromance was going to “blossom for sure” and he was right, because the pair are still the best of friends almost a year after filming.

They have a joint TikTok account where they post videos together, and they still meet up all the time.

Billy “had a cry” when he watched Dave’s wedding back too, saying: “God, it hit me. I was there like a blubbery mess. I had to get my tissues out. I was like, ‘Oh no! What am I doing?'”

“We didn’t get to see it, but my speech was very strangely similar to Dave’s. I got upset about my dad as well, so watching it back- yeah, it was emotional.”

“But I’m so proud of him. I think he absolutely smashed it out of the park, and I tell you what – everyone’s gonna love him!”
