MAFS’ Dave was engaged before the show, and his ex has slammed that ‘good guy narrative’

Dave Hand and Jamie Marinos are one of the strongest couples on MAFS Australia so far, but did you know he was engaged before he went on the show?!

His ex-fiancé’s name is believed to be Stephanie Jaksch, and they dated for three-and-a-half years in total.

They got engaged in 2022 and even started wedding planning, but called the whole thing off just 12 months into their engagement.

Dave said they broke up because she was from a different world, but according to one of her pals, that’s not the whole story.

Stephanie’s friend told Woman’s Day he applied to go on another reality show called Fboy Island right after they split in 2023.

“They split, and as we all found out, he went straight on to apply to go on reality TV!” they said.

He was unsuccessful, but the MAFS production company Endemol Shine offered him MAFS instead, which he “signed on to appear in early 2024”.

According to the friend, Stephanie was really shocked to find out Dave was about to get married on TV after his failed marriage with her.

“The advertising started and the grooms were revealed – that’s when Steph found out,” the source claimed.

“No one wants to hear that their ex-fiancé is getting married let alone have that happen on national TV!”

The pal said that Stephanie has had enough of the “good guy narrative” Dave is getting on MAFS too, hinting there is more to him than we’re seeing.

“Dave wasn’t ready for a serious relationship with Steph. That was very clear when they broke up.”

“It is hard to imagine much had changed in the months between separating from her and going on MAFS,” they continued.

However, the insider claimed his ex “does not want to get involved with anything relating to Dave or MAFS” and has firmly moved on from the builder.
