MAFS’ Jacqui messier than ever as she reveals what Eliot is really like without the cameras
‘I’m going to side with Veronica because she’s a girl’
MAFS Australia’s Jacqui Burfoot has once again reminded us why she is the messiest cast member of season 12 by revealing what groom Eliot Donovan is like when the cameras aren’t around.
It would be easier to point out the unproblematic members of the season 12 cast because between Adrian’s red flags and Jacqui being Jacqui, MAFS Australia has never been so messy. Before Tim took the crown in episode three, Eliot was the reigning red flag groom following his treatment of Lauren Hall and *that* sit-down with expert John Aiken.
He voluntarily left the experiment until the experts offered him a second stab at finding love in the form of Veronica Cloherty. We’ll now get to watch how Eliot is really like in a relationship in the coming weeks, but while we wait, Jacqui has shared a juicy tidbit on TikTok.
So, what is MAFS Eliot really like according to Jacqui?

Jacqui has been answering burning questions from viewers for weeks, touching on subjects such as her backup wedding dress and whether or not her bling brand is from Temu. More recently, she replied to a person who questioned what “Eliot is really like” when the cameras aren’t around.
“Eliot’s a really mysterious guy,” she said. “It’s hard to get to know him because he’s kind of closed off. He’s alright.”
Jacqui said that she never had any confrontations with Eliot, in fact, he was largely the only cast member to be defending her against her husband Ryan Donnelly.

She continued: “He was quite reasonable, I felt. I really got along with him quite well. We weren’t friends, but I never had an issue with him and what he was saying. I never really found him difficult at dinner parties or things like that.
“A lot of the times I could relate to the things he was saying on the couch sessions, and obviously during the season and more to this day I was more friends with Veronica, and I’m always going to side with Veronica because she’s a girl, but he’s not that bad.”
“Not that bad” is not quite the resounding positive comment Jacqui thought it was, but people in the comments were not buying what she was selling.
“Elliot is better at hiding his dark side when he wants to. I believe he has similar traits to Tim but he hides them way better. Tim was clumsy about it,” one person claimed.
In contrast, another said: “I didn’t like him in the start… but now I do. I don’t think he’s mysterious. He just prefers to open up to people he feels are genuine.”
“Honestly he’s not so bad now that we’ve seen the true nature of the rest,” someone else pointed out.
Only time will tell whether Eliot manages to recuperate his straggling reputation.
