The White Lotus’ Aimee Lou Wood responds to criticism of her teeth with the best reaction
Obsessed with her response
People won’t stop talking about Aimee Lou Wood’s unique teeth as The White Lotus airs, and she’s responded to the criticism in the best way.
The 31-year-old plays Chelsea, a fun and carefree woman who’s married to a moody older man called Rick, played by Walton Goggins.
Aimee has spoken out about her striking teeth many times in the past, even revealing that they stop her from getting certain types of acting roles.
However, this is the first time she’s broken her silence on the criticism during The White Lotus, and she really doesn’t care about the negativity.
Speaking about her time on set to the Hollywood Reporter, she recalled being scared at first because all the big actors “live in Hollywood”.
“I live in my little flat in South East London, and I’m so British in my sensibility that I wasn’t sure how to handle being around so many people who are so front-footed and confident,” she said.
“All I ever do is take the piss out of myself. Even the way people are talking about me and my teeth — that I don’t have veneers or Botox — it feels a bit rebellious.”

Aimee said she always takes the piss out of herself and sees the humour in things, and she embraces being different from everyone else.
“I spent a lot of my life worrying about being weird, and now I’m realizing it could be my superpower,” the actress continued.
After The White Lotus, she now feels a lot more confident to talk to a director about an idea she has, or “just to make shit happen”.

“The first thing I did out of drama school was a play, and I remember thinking it was so cool that I was getting paid for it,” Aimee added.
“Then I got Sex Education and thought it was just a fluke; even when it erupted, I figured my success would pass. It was basically just last week that I woke up and went, ‘What the hell is my life?'”
She’s killing it!
