An investigation is underway following a stabbing in Hyde Park yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to Victoria Road in Leeds following reports of a stabbing just after 2pm on Tuesday 11th March.

A man in his thirties was taken to hospital in an ambulance, having sustained injuries to his back, Rayo reports. The wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.

Robin, who lives on Victoria Road and is studying for a master’s in maths at the University of Leeds, told The Leeds Tab he saw an entrance “taped over”.

“An ambulance, along with a police van, were parked right outside,” he added.

Asked about whether he has concerns surrounding his safety following the incident, Robin said: “I still feel safe because these things happen regardless of where you are, but it’s definitely made me more conscious about locking my doors.”
