Jessica Lange asked if she’s coming back to American Horror Story and her reply was savage
I need the queen back for the final season
Not to be one of those “you had to be there” types, but when it comes to the cultural reset that was the first four seasons of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story you honestly really did. It was the greatest show on TV, and to be on Tumblr in those days at the start of the 2010s you could not escape the memes, quotes and vibes from the campest and spookiest show on telly. At the forefront of the success of American Horror Story was Jessica Lange, and whilst she hasn’t lead the cast since Freak Show – and the show still had good seasons without her – it never really hit the heights it did when she was cleaning up on that show. With American Horror Story soon to be ending for good, will Jessica Lange return for the final season?
Thankfully, a brave soul asked Jessica Lange directly if she’d return for American Horror Story and its final season – but less merciful was Lange’s absolutely savage response.
She’s so funny

Jessica Lange made history playing Constance Langdon in Murder House, the indomitable Sister Jude in Asylum and iconically Fiona Goode in Coven – but will she reprise any?
Err, absolutely not. Basically.
When asked if she’s return for American Horror Story and what is touted to be the show’s final season, Lange said bluntly “Oh Christ no. I haven’t done it for more than 10, 12 years. So no, I’m not doing it.”

The interviewer then asks Jessica Lange if they asked her to come back because it is supposedly the conclusion of the show, would she. Her reply?
“No.” And then a load of iconic laughter. She really dgaf and I can’t blame her to be honest. The decline of that once great show is the real horror story. To be fair, why would she go back? She made her mark and doesn’t need to do it. The height of diva. Even though I’d absolutely be tuning in if she did make a grand return.
