Love Is Blind’s Meg reveals the real reason she ditched Mason and I’m utterly heartbroken

I honestly don’t care, in my head they are together and living happily

In my eyes, Love Is Blind’s Meg Fink and Mason Horacek are made for each other which is exactly why I was thrilled when Madison had her moment and removed herself from the picture.

However, as we now know, Meg and Mason’s relationship also combusted during the final episode of the pods segment. It was all going amazing, the wedding bells were ringing, but Mason was dating two girls at once and failed to make a decision. Despite literally doing the exact same thing, dating both Alex and Mason, Madison called off her romance with the latter over his indecision.

After some unapologetic s**t stirring from Madison, who seemed to enjoy destroying Meg and Mason’s relationship from the inside, Meg also called off her romance and the arc was left on a bit of an abrupt cliffhanger.

“I feel a lot of regret,” Mason said in a confessional. “I should never have validated Madison over Meg, and that’s something that I’m gonna have to live with.”

Meg

In a recent appearance on the We Have The Receipts podcast, Meg revealed she felt like the runner-up to Mason’s affections despite him affirming several times that she was always first. I mean, come on, he literally leapt from his seat when their favourite movies matched!

“You know when I went into this I made a promise to myself that if I feel like number two, I’m not going to go on to the engagement portion. Just because if I’m really seriously considering you as a husband, I want us to be on the same level. I want it to be an equal give and take. I want to feel like you’re just as into me as I am into you,” she said.

“If I was your number two pick that doesn’t feel good when going into a marriage. And so, I know that’s probably controversial.”

Meg said that she went into season eight of Love Is Blind with the intention of being completely authentic. Considering she brought up aliens and ant tunnels within minutes I’m going to guess she more than succeeded.

“I went in and the only way to attract someone that I want to be with is to be myself,” she added. “That’s really what I was trying to do, not hold back and just go in and be like ‘This is who I am, if you vibe with it and we are on the same wavelength, we’d be a good match’.”

All hope is not lost because they’ve been spotted!!

Meg Mason

I’m going to sound like a tinfoil hat-wearing lunatic but there is still a chance that Meg and Mason are together – bear with me.

Brittany, who got engaged off-camera this season, has been posting lots of behind-the-scenes pictures featuring the cast. In one recently shared snap, Mason and Meg can be seen hugging at the back. Obviously, that’s not confirmation of upcoming nuptials, but at least they don’t hate each other?

My second piece of clearly concrete evidence is from the recent trailer for this week’s episodes. Meg and Mason walk into the room holding hands and I must say I’m completely sold.

I expect an invite to the wedding.
